1. Agreement to Terms

By booking services with Move Lite Moving (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all services provided, including standard moves, specialty item moves, and labor-only services.

2. Services Provided

Move Lite Moving specializes in:

  • Small moves (1–5 items)
  • Labor-only moving services
  • Internal (in-home or in-business) moves
  • Specialty item moving (e.g., safes, pianos, gym equipment)

All services are subject to availability and operational limitations.

3. Service Area

  • Service is limited to locations within 40 miles of our office (425 Industrial Dr, Maryland Heights, MO).
  • Jobs outside 25 miles may incur an out-of-zone fee.
  • Moves exceeding 40 miles between pickup and drop-off locations are not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to decline service outside our service area.

4. Scheduling and Arrival Windows

  • Service is available Monday through Saturday
  • Arrival windows:
    • 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Arrival times are windows, not exact times, and may vary due to traffic, weather, or prior jobs.

5. Pricing and Payment

Standard Pricing

  • Based on number of items, time, mileage, and service type

Additional Charges May Include:

  • Mileage beyond included distance
  • Additional time beyond included service
  • Stairs or difficult access
  • Same-day service fees

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of service
  • Accepted methods:
    • Cash
    • Venmo
    • CashApp

A $15 discount may apply for cash payments.

Failure to provide payment may result in refusal to unload or release items.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate details about items, weight, and locations
  • Ensure clear and safe access to pickup and delivery areas
  • Secure parking or permits if required
  • Be present (or have a representative present) during service

Move Lite is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate information or inaccessible locations.

7. Item Limitations

  • Standard moves are limited to 1–5 items
  • Maximum weight per item: 600 lbs
  • Items over 300 lbs are subject to specialty pricing
  • Jobs must not exceed a 15 ft truck capacity

We reserve the right to refuse items deemed unsafe or outside service scope.

8. Liability and Damage Policy

Limited Liability Coverage

Move Lite Moving provides basic limited liability coverage, which may include:

  • Coverage for damage caused directly by our crew due to negligence
  • Repair or reimbursement at our discretion

Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Items not properly packed or prepared
  • Fragile, high-value, or irreplaceable items unless disclosed in advance
  • Damage caused by structural limitations (tight spaces, stairs, etc.)
  • Mechanical or electronic failure of moved items

Customers are encouraged to secure additional insurance for high-value items.

9. Specialty Items

Specialty items (e.g., safes, pianos, heavy equipment):

  • Require proper disclosure prior to booking
  • May incur additional fees
  • Are moved at customer’s risk due to weight and complexity

10. Delays and Force Majeure

Move Lite Moving is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions
  • Traffic
  • Mechanical issues
  • Acts of God or unforeseen circumstances

11. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Customers must provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Same-day cancellations may be subject to fees
  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to operational needs

12. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:

  • Conditions are unsafe
  • Items exceed disclosed weight or scope
  • Customer behavior is abusive or inappropriate
  • Payment is not secured

13. Claims Process

Any damage claims must be:

  • Reported within 48 hours of service completion
  • Supported with photos and documentation

Failure to report within this timeframe may result in denial of the claim.

14. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Interfere with website functionality

15. Privacy

Use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at:

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
